Blessings of a New Day Sunday night, March 20, was a special surprise! We honored two of our faithful ladies who have birthdays within two days of one another. Mrs. Estelle Parsons celebrated her 98th year upon this earth on March 21! The Lord has blessed Sister Parsons with good health and strength. She is an encouragement to all around her; she is always faithful to the House of the Lord. We also honored Mrs. Teresa Barber, our church pianist, who has faithfully served the Lord at Faith Baptist Church for over 40 years. These ladies were genuinely surprised with a party that evening. Praise the Lord for another day to bless the name of the Lord. The Psalmist wrote: “This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” Jeremiah wrote in Lamentations that the mercies of the Lord are new every morning. What a blessing to awaken to a new day with God’s breath in our lungs!
