Our Pastor, Mentor, and Dear Friend, Brother Ben Poovey, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 13, 2009 at around 7:50 PM.  As you all know, he was our only Pastor for 43 years, and he will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives he touched in a special way.  It will be hard to go on without him, but, with the Lord’s help, we will be able to keep on just like he wanted us to do.  Please continue to pray for the family and the members of Faith Baptist Church that the Lord will help us to find another Pastor.  No one will ever be able to take his place, but we can find someone who will be just as kind and gentle as he was.  I will be posting a memorial page on the site soon, so please check back often for further updates.
